Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP leader Yogi Adityanath on Friday called Indian Union Muslim League “a virus.”
The virus will spread across India if Rahul wins, he said.
“The Muslim League is a virus. A virus that has infected someone can not survive, and today the main opposition party Congress has already been infected with it. Think what will happen if they win? These viruses will spread throughout the country, (sic)” he tweeted. (Google translation of @myogiadityanath’s Tweet in Hindi)
He also said that the Muslim League split the country in 1947 and the threat continues.
“In the freedom struggle of 1857, the whole country had fought against the British with Mangal Pandey, then this Muslim League virus came and spread such that the whole country was divided. Today, the same threat continues again. The green flag is wave again. Congress is infected with Muslim League virus, be careful, (sic)” he said in another tweet. This response of the top brass BJP leader comes amidst continuing abuse against Congress and Rahul on social media. Earlier, IUML’s flag in Congress rally was misinterpreted as Pakistan flag.
“#Pappu might do better by contesting from Islamabad or Rawalpindi. The ISI & army generals will ensure his win. They owe great deal to Nehru’s great grand son. Why bother to seek support of ISI puppets in India? Go for #TheRealThing #Pappu ji !!!” said Madhu Purnima Kishwar, a professor who is close to the Sangh Parivar.
