Union Minister for Women & Child Development Maneka Gandhi in an election rally threatened the Muslims in her constituency that she will not consider their pleas if they did not vote for her in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The BJP candidate for Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh was speaking at a gathering when she declared that she will win with or without Muslims’ vote.
“I am winning because of the love and support of people. But I will not feel good if I win without Muslims’ vote. If you come for some work later, I will think about how does it matter. Because, employment is a negotiation, after all, isn’t it? We aren’t Mahatma Gandhi’s children to keep giving without any return.”
Her son Varun Gandhi represents the constituency now. Mother-son duo swapped their constituencies this time.

“I am going to win for sure. If Muslims won’t vote for me and then come to ask for work, I will have to think, what’s the use of giving them jobs.”#LokSabhaElections2019 @ECISVEEP pic.twitter.com/BHG5kwjwmQ
