US President Donald Trump is not supportive enough with son Barron’s soccer craze.Trump said he wouldn’t steer son Barron toward football, saying it’s “a dangerous sport,”.Although he said he wouldn’t stand in the way if his soccer player 12-year lad wanted to put on pads.
“Equipment, including helmets, has improved but it hasn’t solved the problem,”Trump said.
Even though the president thinks NFL “is a great product.” When it comes about Barron playing, the president calls it a “very tough question.”“If he wanted to? Yes. Would I steer him that way? No, I wouldn’t.”
In 2017 during a rally in Alabama, Trump criticised the increased penalties and enforcement for illegal hits to the heads and hitting the defensive players, said “it ruins the game”.
The former US president Obama also has a similar opinion, once he said “have to think long and hard” before letting a son,if he had one to play football because of the high risk of head injuries.
