This luggage porter cleared Kerala govt job test with help of free railway Wi-Fi

This luggage porter at Ernakulam Junction railway station cleared Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) exam with help from free WiFi available at the railway station.

The 27-year-old Shrinath K from Idukki district cleared the civil services exams by just downloading study material and listening to it on earphones while he is on duty. He was working 24 hours continuously that is from 9 am to 9 am the next day.

Shrinath, father of a one-year-old daughter cracked the Kerala govt job test after two unsuccessful attempts earlier. He scored 83 percent in the examination.

“The government may or may not call. Given how competition is so high these days, the vacancies might get filled up with people who scored even higher,” Indian Express reports Shrinath as saying.

Free WiFis were made available with the help of Google and RailTel at major railway stations across the country in 2015 as part of Digital India campaign. This made studies much easier for Shrinath, who was preparing for the exams.
