MLA KB Ganesh Kumar has said that the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) is not an organization which is image conscious.
“AMMA is not a political organization that seeks the support of people for its functioning. It is an organization founded for the welfare of the people working in the film field,” Ganesh Kumar says in the voice message sent to AMMA office-bearer Idavela Babu after the reports surfaced that four actresses resigned from the film body in protest against the reinstatement of Dileep into the association.
The first message to Idavela Babu says there is no need to be afraid over the news reports and Facebook posts that are coming out now.
“The latest development is that four actresses resigned from AMMA. However, the actresses who resigned bore enmity towards AMMA and created problems constantly,” Ganesh Kumar alleges in the message.
“No member of AMMA should respond in channels or other platforms about the quitting of the four actresses. The four actresses who quit AMMA are not active either in films or in the organization. They did not cooperate with AMMA in its mega show, Ganesh Kumar says in the audio clip.
There is nothing wrong in the actresses quitting AMMA or forming another organization. All these are good things only, Ganesh Kumar says.
Politicians are criticising AMMA to gain applause. The present controversies are being created by politicians who have no other job. These politicians do not have much relevance in politics also, Ganesh Kumar alleged.
