The Indian techie couple who were killed of a 800 feet fall in California’s Yosemite National Park in October 2018,were intoxicated at the time of the tragic fall,according to the autopsy report.
The Kerala techie-couple,Vishnu Viswanath and his wife Meenakshi Moorthy were “intoxicated with ethyl alcohol” prior to fall and the fatal death,the reports says.The ethyl alcohol is found in drinks like beer,wine and heavy liquor.
“All we can conclude is that they had been drinking and that they had been drinking and that they had alcohol in their systems. We don”t know how much,” Ms Andrea Stewart,assistant Mariposa County coroner,was quoted as saying by Mercury News, a local newspaper published in San Jose, California.
According to the report the couple died of,”multiple injuries to the head, neck, chest and abdomen, sustained by a fall from a mountain,”.
The couple were married from 2014 , and were the batch mates at Chengannur Engineering College Computer Science batch of 2006-2010.The couple were started an Instagram page on travelling and exploring the world before their death and launched their travel blog, holidays and HappilyEverAfters. Viswanath was a software engineer with Cisco India at the company’s headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Before the adventurous selfie, and tragic death,they had set up a tripod at the thaft point and it was later discovered at the cliff.
