The nursing organisation UNA has decided to help the people Affected by flood in kerala by donating 11 lakhs to Chief ministers Disaster Management Fund. The nurses in the organisation will be working in the affected areas from tuesday. UNA has decided to collect the essential things that needed for the people living in relief camps and it will be handed over in the coming days.
The UNA state president JasminSha president Shobi joseph and other members will be serving their help in the forest areas of nilambur like vattilakolli, vennakodu, palakayam. The members of organisation will also serve in Kozhikode, Malappuram, palakkad and thrissur districts. The association will join hands with mitra Jyothi Tribal development foundation.
Members of association in Trivandrum, kottayam, pathanamthitta, kollam districts will serve in kuttanad flood affected areas. The nurses from Trivandrum districts has already given 1150 kilo of rice and 140 kilo of sugar and other essentials to kuttanad.
Kozhikode, malappuram, Kannur, wayanad district committees will help the flood victims in Mananthavady,Vythiri, panamaram areas of wayanad. Ernakulam district committee will serve in the districts itself. Taking into consideration organisation has also decided to avoid the onam celebrations and will give the fund collected for celebration to CMDRF. UNA has also decided to postpone the unit conference decided the state secretariat committee meeting held today in thrissur.
The committee also decided to give 3000 rupees as festival allowance to the protesting nurses in front of KVM hospital other than money given for them for their living. The state president Shoby Joseph presided the meeting and national president jasminsha presented the organisational report and state secretary achuthan presented the working report.
Meanwhile huge criticism has raised against the Film stars organisation A.M.M.A as they have only contributed 10 lakhs. The social media has raised criticism against A.M.M.A act pointing out it was a small amount. the tamil actor brothers Surya and Karthi has given 25 lakhs to CMDRF. Kamal Haasan has also given 25 lakhs and social media has pointed out this and attacked the film actors organisation. After the criticism many actors like mohanlal, mammootty and Dulquer salmaan has contributed personally.
