Director Aashiq Abu has announced the movie Virus, the story of the state which fought back the Nipah Virus.
It is one of the biggest movie announcements from Mollywood recently. The filmmaker has roped in a stellar cast that includes Tovino Thomas, Parvathy, Rima Kallingal, Revathy, Asif Ali and Kalidas Jayaram.
The film, based on the Nipah virus outbreak in Kerala earlier this year, is scripted by Muhsin Perari, Sharfu and Suhas. Muhsin had told that it will be an interconnected plot based on several real-life stories.
Aashiq had revealed to a media outlet that Rima Kallingal will be playing the heroic nurse Lini Puthussery, Revathy will be essaying Health Minister KK Shailaja and Tovino Kozhikode collector UV Jose.
