West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday questioned the timings of the Pulwama terror attack. She also questioned whether the government wanted to revenge and go to war amid Lok Sabha elections.
Mamata’s sharp shots also aimed at the RSS and BJP,said that they are aiming at spreading communal tension. She also showed a genuine curiosity to know why the government let such a huge convoy of CRPF personnel to move o the highway neglecting the intelligence warnings on security.”The government knew of the matter. Intelligence inputs were there. Then why so many people had to die? why no action was taken?”she asked.
Mamata Banerjee on #PulwamaAttack:The Govt had inputs from intelligence agencies on Feb 8 that such attacks might happen before elections. Why no action was taken? Why 78 convoys were still allowed?…I also have intelligence reports that my phone is always taped, as you all know pic.twitter.com/KulUn9oUNe

She also alleged that government did nothing but some show offs after the Pathankot terror attack and “create a war like hysteria” ahead of the elections.”I have a doubt, how they have got this encouragement when the elections are round the corner?I don’t know, why Parliament is over.I’m in doubt, why we haven’t taken any action against Pakistan in the last five years,”she said.
“It is a planted game of the RSS, VHP and the BJP. We will resist attempts to take political advantage of the situation,” she said.
State BJP president Dilip Ghosh hit back at Banerjee for her comments, saying while the entire country is demanding that Pakistan be taught a lesson, the Trinamool Congress remains as a rebel.
