The team of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi hosted a special screening of their movie for President Ram Nath Kovind in Delhi on Friday. After the screening, the President felicitated the cast and the crew including lead actress and co-director Kangana Ranaut.
Present at the event held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre were Central Board of Film Certification Chief Prasoon Joshi, who has penned the lyrics and dialogues of the film, KV Vijayendra Prasad, who is the writer of the film, and is also known for his son SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, Bharatiya Janata Party leader LK Advani.
We see the President, the first lady Savita Kovind and Advani felicitating Kangana in pictures shared by the official Twitter handle. In the other pictures, we see the celebrities posing on the stage and during their conversations in the premises. Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel is also seen in one of the photographs.

“Rani Lakshmi Bai is a national hero. Our entire team is really looking forward to present Manikarnika: the Queen of Jhansi, a story about Rani Lakshmi Bai’s strength and bravery for an independent India, to the most important entity of the Republic of India, our Hon’ble President,” Kangana said in a statement ahead of the screening.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi has been jointly directed by Kangana and Radha Krishna Jagalramudi aka Krish. The movie is produced by Zee Studios, Kamal Jain and Nishant Patti, also starring Ankita Lokhande, Nihar Pandya, Danny Denzongpa, Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta, will hit the floors on 25th January.
