Flipkart owned PhonePe users can now book railway tickets directly from the app, and pay via UPI, credit & debit cards or wallet.
The Bengaluru based digital payment company has strengthened its partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) by entering into an app-in-app partnership.
Earlier in August, PhonePe had partnered with the IRCTC to make PhonePe available as a payment option on the IRCTC Rail Connect Android App.
PhonePe is already live with many micro-apps like cab booking app Ola, bus booking app redBus, room booking platform OYO, Mumbai Metro and Goibibo.
As an introductory offer PhonePe users will get Rs 50 cashback on their first train ticket booking until 4 December.
