Parliament on Wednesday approved Modi Government’s sixth and final interim Budget.
While Lok sabha has already passed the Appropriation Bills, Rajya Sabha passed it on Wednesday on the last day of the section.
The 13 day budget session was a washout in the Rajya Sabha as opposition parties stalled proceedings daily over issues like Rafale fighter jet deal and Citizenship bill.
In today’s section,Minister of State for Finance Shiv Pratap Shukla moved the Appropriation Bills and the Finance Bill that were approved by voice vote.
On the last day of the session, a consensus was arrived at among political parties to approve the Interim Budget as also the Motion thanking the President for his address to the joint sitting.
The Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel made the appeal for adopting the motion of Thanks to the President’s address without a debate and that was executed with voice note.
