Pakistan filed a petition to remove Priyanka Chopra from the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador as her tweet congratulated Indian Air Force for last week’s air strike across the Line off Control.
“Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces,” Priyanka Chopra had tweeted on February 26.
Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces 🇮🇳 🙏🏽

The online platform Avaaz asks for Priyanka’s removal from the post as she did not stay ‘neutral’ in the issue.
“War between two nuclear powers can only lead to destruction & death. As goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, PriyankaChopra was supposed to stay neutral and peaceful…. She doesn’t deserve this title anymore (sic),” it claimed.
Priyanka Chopra has been working as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2016,even though she works with UN for more than 10 years.
However, the petition is filed with more than 4200 signatures and UN yet to respond on this matter.
