LDF government increased nurse’s minimum wages to 20,000
LDF government fixed nurses minimum wages as 20,000 rupees. The Law Secretary has signed the notification has been issued. The nurses association UNO has called for a long march starting from tomorrow asking for implementing minimum wages. The government decision came ahead of the nurse’s protest.
According to the new notification, nurses at hospital with 50 beds will have Rs 20,000 and that of 100 beds will have Rs 24,400 and those with 100 to 200 beds will get Rs 29,400 and if beds are more than 200, they will be given Rs 32,400.This was decided earlier in a meet held under Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The government has accepted nearly all the needs of the nurses. The nurses association will decide the future of protest after examining the government order. On the contrary, the hospital management has decided to move to court against the government decision to increase minimum wage. The minimum wages to nurses before was 8975.
