Using the e-wallet feature, users add money in the app before booking the talkal ticket like other wallets — Paytm or Mobikwik. IRCTC e-wallet users can use the amount at the time of booking rail tickets. This helps ticket booking process faster.
For using IRCTC e-wallet, the user first needs to register himself on the IRCTC’s website. Users have the option to place 6 banks on the website’s preference list. Then set the e-wallet option as the default payment option within the app for a faster exit from the booking process.
Through the Rail Connect app, passengers can also book cabs. Earlier, IRCTC has tied up with cab aggregator Ola.
