Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who recently completed 50 years in the industry, is one of the busiest actors in the B-town today. In 2018, Big B had two releases and now he is all set to take over 2019 with his upcoming projects. The superstar will also be starring in the Sairat director Nagraj Manjule’s Bollywood debut, Jhund. Recently, the release date of the upcoming movie was announced.
Film critic Taran Adarsh recently revealed on Twitter that Jhund will hit the screens on September 20, 2019. The movie is being co-produced by Nagraj, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath and Savita Raj Hiremath.

Reports suggest that Jhund is based on the life of Vijay Barse, a retired sports teacher who founded an NGO called Slum Soccer. Sairat‘s lead actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar will also be starring in the movie.
Back in January, Big B took to his social media and shared a heartfelt note after he wrapped up the shoot of Jhund. He wrote, “As you end one and get set to leave .. the emotions and withdrawal symptoms begin to reflect .. thank you JHUND.”

Apart from this, Amitabh Bachchan will also be sharing the screen space with Taapsee Pannu in Sujoy Ghosh’s crime thriller, Badla. The movie is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Big B and Taapsee have previously worked in the 2016 film Pink.
Big B will also be starring in Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming directorial Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The fantasy film will hit the screens around Christmas this year.
