Worlds best long distance runners,veterans,beginners,take over the Mumbai streets on Sunday.The prestigious 16th edition of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019,geared up the Mumbai streets with more than 46,000 marathon geeks.
The 16th edition Martathon is fascinating with the huge participation of first time runners in it.the IAAF Gold Label Race will be flagged off from outside the landmark Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). Olympic boxing gold medalist Mary Kom flagged off the Mumbai Marathon,today morning. The total prize money awarded will be USD 405,000.
The South African Comrades Marathon champion, Bruce Fordyce also present during the event,who is popularly known as the ‘Comrades King’,he has been the champion of the ultra-marathons for more than 8 consecutive years.
Ethiopias Abera Kuma is the male lead participating in this Marathon and in women field,Amane Gobena.
This year the Tata Marathon has put forwarded the ‘Mumkin Hai,Run for the Full’ to boost and assist amateur Half Marathon runners to finish a full Marathon.
