Massive protest outbreaks at Sabarimala as two young women attempt to enter the temple.The protest started at 4 am ,today.As the two women,Reshma Nishanth,a Kannur native and Shanila Sajeesh who came along with a 9 member team tried to mount up the hill the protesters gathered together and blocked them at the base camp.
The police then forcefully moved them from the place and have requested them to retreat from further trekking due to strong opposition by the namajapa protesters.
The 2 women who were the part of a team,called Navodhanam Sabarimalak questioned the refusal to have darshan. Police then on getting the things worse,drove them out safely in a vehicle. They had earlier refused to return without offering prayers, saying they followed the 41-day penance.Moreover,the women were reluctant to return even after assistant commissioner A Pradeep Kumar talked with them.
The protest began at 4.30 am today as the two trekked up hill and people staged protest when the group reached near the water tank at Neelimala. The protest longed untill 7 am today at Sabarimala.
