The Thiruvananthapuram railway division has announced a mass cancellation of several trains on Saturday (Aug 25). The services include 16 passenger and 6 MEMU trains.
Train No: 22653 Thiruvananthapuram Central-Nizamuddin Superfast Express, which was scheduled to leave from the Kerala capital at 12.30 am on Saturday, is expected to depart only at 8.30 am.
The services towards Guruvayur have resumed with the reopening of Guruvayur-Thrissur track as the floodwaters receded. Both the Thiruvananthapuram Central-Guruvayur InterCity Express and Chennai Egmore-Guruvayur Expresss have restarted the services to Guruvayur, a popular pilgrim centre in Kerala.
