Narendra Modi’s biopic titled PM Narendra Modi, will now see another addition to its cast. The movie, which will see Vivek Oberoi playing the role of the Indian PM, has roped in Manoj Joshi for playing the role of Bharatiya Janata Party president, Amit Shah. The actor is known for being in hits such as Dhoom, Bhagam Bhag, Hungama, Phir Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and many more.
According to reports, Manoj, who had other projects in hands, immediately got convinced to play the character in the film. TOI quoted the actor saying, “It’s the first time I’m portraying a living person and that’s exciting. People are waiting for the Modi biopic and I’m glad I’m playing Amit bhai who is one of the most important characters.”
Manoj also revealed how he keeps himself updated with political scenarios and calls it “important” to be aware of things happening in the country. When asked about his character, Amit Shah, the actor said that he is a “good organizer”. As reported by the mainline daily, he also talked about his preparations for the movie, “I’ve been listening to his speeches to know more about him. We have used prosthetics only when absolutely necessary to get the look right. I will be sporting different hairstyles as the film progress.”
Previously, Barkha Bisht was roped-in to essay the role of PM’s wife Jashodaben as reported by BT. The actress is known for playing significant roles in many films and television series.
