Actress Mithila Parkar, who plays a prominent role in the upcoming Irrfan Khan, Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Karwaan, says that she saw no reason to turn down the project.
“I had no two thoughts. I’ve never wanted to play the lead role; I make the most of whatever opportunities come my way. I’m always eager to work with good people on good content. Who wouldn’t want to work with two of the finest artists in the country?” she says.
The Mumbai-based actress reveals that she only realised the magnitude of Dulquer Salmaan’s stardom in the south when she started working with him. “I realized that he is a big deal, and that I hadn’t watched any of his films. You don’t go into a project completely unaware, so I decided to watch his films before meeting him,” Mithila says, adding, “He is extremely humble, and I only realized the magnitude of his stardom when we were shooting Kerala. Since it’s a road trip film, all our shoots were outdoors, and everywhere people would gather to catch a glimpse of him.”Karwaan is slated for release on August 3.
