New Delhi: Google, the world’s favourite search engine on the World Wide Web Monday announced the ‘2018 Doodle 4 Google’ contest for the creative as well as art-loving students from India to invite their indigenous imagination in order to bring life to the widely used search engine’s logo.
‘What inspires you’ is the defined theme of this year which can be expressed using either crayons, clay, water colours or else graphic design. Rs. 5 Lakh scholarship is the present declared for the winner along with the opportunity to share their inspiration via their artwork, informed the company in a statement. The winning art work on doodle incorporating the letters G-o-o-g-l-e would be featured on Google’s home page on Children’s Day apparently.
The last date for submissions for the contest meant for students from 1st to 10th grade is 6 October. The entries would be reviewed by Ryan Germick, Team leader of doodle along with a panel of guest judges reportedly. The internal judging and jury votes would finalise top 20 doodle entries which would be later made open for public voting from 23 October to 5 November as per the company’s statement.
The very first edition of Doodle 4 Google was held in 2009 having the theme ‘My India’. The contest also successfully run in the regions including Canada, Latin America and various other Asian countries apparently.
