Scheduled to release in April next year, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial debut Lucifer is the next most anticipated Mohanlal film after Odiyan.
As Mohanlal wrapped up the shoot for Lucifer on Monday, Prithviraj took his Instagram account to share a heartfelt note expressing his indebtedness to the actor for all his support. He also recollected the pieces of advice to drop the plan of movie direction from his “well-wishers”.
“So today..Lalettan bids adieu to #Lucifer and #StephenNedumpally It has been a journey like no other for me. When I took up the challenge of directing a huge film like # Lucifer, most of my well wishers told me it wasn’t the wisest decision I’ve made..and that as an actor, its a foolish investment of time. I still don’t know about that..but what I do know for sure..is that I’ve probably learned more about cinema and my craft in the last 6 months than the 16 years preceding it. Thank you #Lalettan for believing in me..and directing you has been the absolute highlight of my career. Regardless of how many ever films, I direct..or even if I’ll never direct a film again..#StephenNedumpally will always be special (sic),” Prithviraj wrote.
The last schedule of the shoot of Lucifer is currently progressing in Russia. Starring Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Vivek Oberoi, Lucifer is written by Murali Gopi and bankrolled by Anthony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Films. Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas, and Mala Parvathy are also part of the movie in supporting roles.
