Cochin airport closed till 26 due to flood

The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) authorities have announced that the Nedumbassery airport will be closed till August 26th as the airport was waterlogged in flood. CIAL has announced that the airport will remain shut till 2 pm on August 26. The decision was taken as the flood water has entered into runway, taxiway and apron in the airport.

Meanwhile, Kochi Metro has arranged free service to flood victims to ease the transportation facility in the city. The decision was taken as the flood had severely affected the Aluva and nearby places. Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has announced that it will arrange shelter for the victims in metro stations.
