The BJP’s four MLAs in Delhi have donated their one-month salary to the victims of flood in Kerala. Vijender Gupta, Jagdish Pradhan, O P Sharma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa have donated their salary of September to flood-ravaged Kerala, said a statement from the office of Gupta.
The southern state was devastated in the rains that claimed hundreds of lives, besides causing massive damage to properties.
Earlier Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged the city government employees to contribute at least one-day salary for the cause. All Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MPs, MLAs and ministers also announced donation of their one-month salary for the relief work in flood-ravaged Kerala. In a tweet, Kejriwal today said, “All AAP MLAs, MPs and ministers (are) donating one month salary for Kerala.” Kejriwal appealed to the public to make donations to the crisis-hit state.
