Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has issued heatwave warning across Kerala’s northern districts for next 48 hours.
The temperature can go up by 8 degree Celsius from the average by Tuesday in Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thrissur and Malappuram districts, according to the KSDMA alert.
According to the weather reports, Kozhikode district is very likely to have heatwave condition for the next 48 hours. Earlier, KSDMA had warned of the possibility of searing heat. The temperature will be soar further in Kozhikode district.
Temperature is likely to rise in other parts of the state also. Within three days the average temperature will rise up by 4 degrees Celsius from the average temperature.
The heat indices are also going to be too hot for the human temperature to sustain.
According to a United Nations report released in February this year, 2018 was the fourth hottest year globally, with extreme weather conditions wreaking havoc.
