Bevco outlets to sell Foreign liquor soon

The Kerala State Beverages Corporation (Bevco) is all set to sell foreign-made foreign liquor (FMFL) through its outlets. This is the firm time that FMFL is going to be sold through Bevco outlets.

The permission has been given to sell 147 foreign liquor brands from Monday onwards. However, the companies who got the contract has not made available the liquor to the Bevco outlets.

Moreover, the procedures for obtaining excise permit is not complete. Hence, consumers have to wait for one more week to get FMFL from Bevco outlets, it is said.

147 brands of l17 companies will be available through the outlets. The foreign liquor will be available in four quantities of 200ml, 500ml, 750 ml and 1 litre.

Johny Walker Red Label whisky will be available in 375 ml also. Even though Chivas Regal and Absolut vodka and Jack Daniel’s will not be available in the beginning, it will reach the outlets without much delay.

Glenfiddich 26-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky which costs Rs 57,710 for 750 ml is the costliest brand that will be available at the outlets.

Beverages Corporation Managing Director H Venkitesh said FMFL will be available at all Bevco outlets in the state. If more stocks arrive, FMFL will be made available at all outlets in the first stage. If more stocks do not arrive, FMFL will be sold in premium outlets in the first stage.
