Devika Santhosh, a student from Bengaluru has been selected among the hundred meritorious students by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the Republic Day 2019 in New Delhi.
The 16-year old student of Navkis Educational Centre, got on cloud nine after receiving the invite from Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. She had scored 99.2% in the class ten examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
Every year the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development short-lists 100 meritorious students from across the country by random selection. This year Devika is one of the 100 students who will be seen at the parade. The Ministry will bear all the expenses.
Her school Navkis Educational Centre in Mysore has decided to felicitate her during the Annual Day celebrations of the institution. Devika said, “It is my dream come true and I’m excited to witness the parade, sitting in the same box as the Prime Minister. I thank the ministry for choosing me.”
