Actor Ben Affleck who plays the role of Batman has stepped down from the upcoming film The Batman.
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman is slated to release in summer 2021. The actor who had earlier played Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League shared this on his Twitter account.
He captioned, ”Excited for The Batman in Summer 2021 and to see Matt Reeves vision come to life.”

The decision came after Justice League turned to be a disappointment at the box office. The publication cited that post Justice League, ‘Warner Bros. has been revaluating its approach to making movies based on DC Comics characters.’
Before this, Warner Bros and Cavill were caught up in a contract disagreement concerning his future in the DCEU. Around the same time, Affleck headed into a rehab for alcohol addiction.On reading this, fans became unhappy and they couldn’t stop themselves to pour their love to the actor.
According to the official announcement of Warner Bros on variety.com, The Batman will release on June 25, 2021. However, the plot and other details have not been revealed yet.
Apart from Batman films, Ben Affleck has done films like Gone Girl, The Accountant, Pearl Harbour, Good Will Hunting, Argo among many others.
