Barcelona’a centre-back Jeison Murillo to miss the first quarter of Copa del Rey quarter against Sevilla. The defender who has already baged three yellow cards in the previous matches, got a suspension thereafter.
The RFEF on Friday confirmed the suspension order as he has many yellow cards.
However the RFEF has confirmed that Barcelona will remain in the Copa del Rey as it had rejected Levante’s complaint that the Catalan side fielded an ineligible player.
The Catalans faced an expulsion threat after picking Juan “Chumi” Brandariz Movilla in their first-leg round-of-16 match against Levante last Thursday.
Murillo was booked in both legs of Barca’s last 16 tie against Levante, he also picked up a yellow for Valencia in their 2-1 win over Ebro in October.
