The state government on Friday stated in Supreme Court that 51 women offered darshan at Sabarimala,and state has provided them protection throughout their entry.
The state made this statement while the Court was hearing the protection plea filed by Bindhu and Kanakadurga,who entered Saarimala and are now facing threat.
The SC ordered Kerala police to ensue round-the-clock security for the two women who entered Sabarimala.
“These two women face threat to their life and freedom,one of them was attacked by nearones and is admitted in hospital.they want 24×7 police protection,” senior lawyer Indira Jaising, appearing for the women, asked a three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi. She also asked for their addresses to not be disclosed.
The bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on ordering the security,directed that the Kerala government will be responsible for their security.
