The massive fire in ESIC Kamgar hospital at Marol in suburban Andheri in Mumbai took away 5 lives and more than 100 people are left with injuries.
The fire went out from the fourth floor of the 6 storey hospital building which was densely crowded during that time .
As per the hospital officials, the fire brought under control and the people who got trapped in the building were rescued by fire force.
The fire brought out on Monday evening at 4.30 pm, the reason for the fire is still unknown.
Most of the people present in the hospital got trapped in the building soon the fire went out, as the smoke spread out in intense amounts.They were then rescued by the firemen using ladders.
When the disaster management force got informed about the fire, they rushed to the place along with 15 ambulances,10 fire engines along with fire fighting equipment reduced the death rate and impact of the incident.
Those who got injured are admitted in nearby Cooper hospital,P Thackerey hospital and in seven hills hospital.
